Support our luncheon
Each October, we celebrate our achievement over the past year and recognize our outstanding community partners at the Annual Luncheon and Awards.
A full house of 280 guests joined us for the sold-out 2018 Annual Luncheon & Awards on October 16 at the Ariel International Center.
During the program, Executive Director Roslyn Quarto honored the legacy of Inez Tillman Killingsworth, who founded ESOP 25 years ago.
“From the beginning, Inez’s passion and compassion directed our efforts so that as early as 1999 – long before the rest of the country experienced the devastating effects of the foreclosure crisis – ESOP was working with mortgage servicers to keep people in their homes,” Quarto noted. “Being ahead of the curve during the mortgage crisis positioned ESOP to expand statewide and eventually help 40,000 homeowners throughout all of Ohio’s 88 counties.
“ESOP’s guiding principle has always been a commitment to developing innovative solutions in response to emerging needs in our community,” she added.
During the luncheon, WKYC-TV newsman Leon Bibb moderated a Conversations with Clients panel, featuring individuals who have been positively impacted by the services and programs of ESOP.
The program also included recognition of ESOP’s community partners with the presentation of three awards:
Inez Tillman Killingsworth Community Leadership Award
Anthony Brancatelli, City Councilman, Ward 12
ESOP Above & Beyond Award
Bank of America
ESOP Community Partnership Award
HFLA of Northeast Ohio
Luncheon Presenting Sponsor Third Federal Savings & Loan presented the Inez Killingsworth Scholarship to Denise McDaniel, a sophomore honors student at Cleveland Central Catholic High School.
